Valentin Samarine est né en 1928 à Saint-Pétersbourg. Il est un artiste connu pour ses productions abstraites mais également pour ses talents de photographe.
En 1981  Il quitte l’URSS pour venir s’installer en France.
Valentin Samarine a su tirer de la technique photographique tout sa puissance artistique.
